I want to send a thank you from all the staff here at Balad, Iraq. We received one of your boxes today. When we hear the mail call on the hospital intercom, we all get excited. Our highlight of the day is "who got mail and what." Any of the snacks we get, we share with each other and share with some of our patients. Most of us, in the picture, have only been here one month and we are adjusting to the environment, the culture and the loneliness of missing our families. We definitely feel honored to be serving our Country and for helping our fellow servicemen and Iraq civilians. Of course, we have good days and bad, depending on the amount of violence that occurs. Please thank all your volunteers and staff for the wonderful snacks and let them know that with their continued support, prayers and love, we find comfort in knowing that we have made a difference.
