Mr. Hirsch, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and all the members of your organization, Operation Shoebox New Jersey, for your time, efforts, and support in brightening the day for deployed troops here in the CENTCOM theater. In my specific case I work with (now LTC) Deborah Kotulich here in Kuwait. When a hand truck full of boxes from your organization arrived in the office today, it simply made our day. There was something for everyone's taste (and needs) and in the end, everyone in the office shared items among each other. We will think of your kindness and generosity with every Girl Scout cookie we enjoy , every bowl of oatmeal we eat, or whenever we grab a tube of toothpaste or bar of soap when ours runs out. It is organizations like yours that help reinforce the fact that we in the military are not forgotten as we try our best to keep the fight for freedom an "away game."
