Dec. 12, 2007 Dear Operation Shoebox New Jersey, I would like to take this chance to thank all of the volunteer staff of Operation Shoebox New Jersey and the residents of Central New Jersey for your thoughts and care packages. All of my Marines appreciate receiving gifts from patriotic Americans like yourselves. It's nice to know that there are people back home that will take time out of their day and money out of their wallets just to make a service member's day a little bit better. We have only been here a little over a month but things are going well in our little piece of Iraq. Conditions are improving every day and it is a very rewarding job helping out the Iraqi people.
