E-MAIL from SOC Ronald E. Harrison

Nov. 28, 2007 Greetings from Iraq! Let me first sincerely thank you for the package you sent to our unit. I am not sure if you know but your box of goodies was received by a Navy unit. Because of stringent operational security requirements that is as much information as I can provide you. We have approximately 50 men and women here defending the United States and stabilizing the country of Iraq. Everyone partook in some of the goodies and greatly enjoyed the cards, drawings, candy and cookies. The boost in morale is noticeable and the anticipation of the troops have when a box such as yours arrives is indescribable. The majority of items were saved for the children we encounter on target. They are by and large the innocent caught in the midst of chaos. Our hearts go out to them and the items that you sent will gladly be given to them. In closing let me thank you again for your generosity, prayers and good thoughts during this time. We can not thank you enough for your support now and in the futue when our troops return home. Sincerely, SOC Ronald E. Harrison Naval Special Warfare Group I Iraq
