Letter from Lt. Col. John C. Reeve

Nov. 5, 2007 Dear Members of Operation Shoebox, Thank you for your words of encouragement to the Marines, Sailors and Soldiers of Regimental Combat Team 6 (RCT-6) and for your dedication to the men and women that are serving in harm's way. During a time of war, the support of the American public is critical to mission success, as well as the morale of the troops on the front lines. Your letters, cards, snacks and personal items are a clear demonstration to RCT-6 of your true support of our military. When we received your boxes, we know that America stands by her troops. Your selfless devotion in giving back to your country by taking a moment to collect these items and write the words of encouragement should serve as an example for others. Simply put, your compassion makes a difference and will continue to make a difference for those currently deployed in Iraq. We greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers and your continued support of the men and women of the United States military. Sincerely, Lt. Col. John C. Reeve Commanding Officer, Acting Regimental Combat Team 6 Camp Fallujah, Iraq
