Letter from Capt. Brian Kibitlewski

April 13,2011 Sir, My EOD Company received the boxes from Operation Shoebox New Jersey this morning from the Mount Horeb Elementary School in Warren NJ. They are an outstanding morale booster and full of some great items for my soldiers. It is always great to receive mail from the United States while deployed; it's even better when you receive surprise packages such as these. I've passed out the boxes to many of my single soldiers; they will mail the kids back letters thanking them for their cards and the items enclosed in each box. It's a very generous gift from your organization, the kids, parents and staff of Mount Horeb Elementary School. A little bit about our company, we are an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company assigned with the task of rendering safe and removal of explosive hazards from Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) in our area of Iraq. Please pass on to your staff how much we appreciate the time and effort spent to provide my Company with these packages. Our days have been brightened because of the tireless efforts of all those involved. Once again, thank you and your staff from Operation Shoebox New Jersey for these great surprises and your support of our mission. Capt. Brian Kibitlewski US Army EOD Technician 774 EOD Company COB Adder, Iraq
