E-mail from Victor R. Lucia Team L-3/1st CAV HST-22

Mr. Hirsch, my name is Victor Lucia and our office here at Camp Liberty had the good fortune of receiving one of your care packages sponsored by the Bocce Ball tournament. Being of Italian-American heritage it was a special treat. I recently returned to Iraq as a contractor after serving a tour with my Georgia Army National Guard unit last year. My wife would like to have me committed but I like to think I am contributing to keeping the guys outside the wire a little safer. My HST team supports several units here training the Iraqi National Police and we always like to share care packages from home with each other. I just wanted to take a moment to thank those of you who still take a moment to stop and do something for the soldiers over here doing their duty every day. We have been serving here for a long time now and with the extensions many of the units have received many are beginning to show a little wear. But I do have to say the morale is still higher than what one would expect. I attribute it to those like you who do what you can to share a little piece of yourself and Americana with those of us here. Thanks again for your support. Team L-3 MNC-I APO AE 09342 Victor R.
