Letter from Lt. Col. George A. Chizmar
Greetings,
First accept my apology for not writing sooner. I have been remiss in my correspondence having been out of the country for several weeks and away from my e-mail systems.
Thank you for the very thoughtful gifts. They were welcome and shared by many. These deployments are great to help one focus on ones faith and priorities in life. We also love to get those little indulgences we may not normally have available or may not get for ourselves.
The overwhelming majority of the men and women I have had the privilege to serve with here in Afghanistan are proud to serve. We all miss our families and the amenities of our homes, but we understand the price that must be paid for those freedoms, and gladly do our part to pay that debt.
Thanks again for thinking of us here, especially during the holidays. A special thanks for the cards from William, Michelle, Joe, and Barbara. Best wishes for you and your families.
R/y,
George A. Chizmar
