08/30/2007 Thank you so much for the care packages! I think there were seven in all. All of the contents went to the Marines of my company and trust me, it all goes quick. It is organizations such as yours that help keep our spirits high when we are so far away from home. I have been in for about 18 years now and I don’t think I have ever been around a finer group of individuals, so rest assure, our country and way of life is in safekeeping with the younger generations. I don’t care who you are, when you receive a package from someone you don’t know, it means a lot. When you open that package and it has a card or a poster in it from a child who prepared that for you, it commands a tear from all of us. I, along with the Marines of Motor-T Company, am deeply grateful for all of your efforts. Fortunately, our time is coming to an end soon so we are not available for your next packing event. I will be sure to pass your information on to our replacements. I have attached a picture of the Company for you. I would say that just about everyone got something from the packages whether it was a necessity or just a nice to have item. Again, thank you. If you know how my name and address got to you for this, please let me know so I can thank them as well. (or please forward this mail on to them) Very Respectfully, Dan Capt Dan King MWSS-271 Motor-T, Camp Workhorse Company Commander 3412-038 DSN 318-3412-038
